Yes, but there's no need to do that, because many of the older managers work well in Vista; for instance, the Bitware one (available free with the demonstration version of . . . dammit, I've forgotten); Terrie, I think has it.

But Acrobat 9 does take a long time cranking up—the Reader is faster.
