Default Acrobat 9 loads slowly because of fonts?

Sometimes, usually, it will take more than 30 seconds for Acro (full or reader) to load on my Vista system. I'm wondering if that's because I went font-hog and there are several thousand fonts installed in the computer, no font management system. (Vista makes it hard to simply pull fonts out of the font folder, you've got to delete them then reinstall them, you cna't just move 'em aside.)

Anyone seen any hard information on "too many" fonts making the Acro Brat take forever to load? Or affecting any other programs in Vista/32 ?
