To clarify, are you saying that this works in Win 7?

In the thing that looks like a browser's address bar at the top, you get "breadcrumbs" ... a trail showing the folders you've drilled down through to get where you are. You can click any of them to climb back up directly to that folder rather than having to click up a number of times. Handy if you're not too many folders deep.
Okay, but what happens if you have not drilled down. What if you went directly to subfolder (ex. shortcut) and then want to go up one folder.
