We've had a few funny experiences here in Japan driving around with friends who use (read: have come to depend on) their GPS. As long as it works, and as long as it makes sense, it's great. When things start to go pear-shaped, they go there in a big way though. We were making our way around some small towns and even smaller streets at one point and I can't tell you how many times I had to point our friend in the right direction when the GPS got confused. Or he did. ;-)

Not that I have anything that bears more than a passing resemblance to a sense of direction, mind you.
