I also found a review of FM9 from a long-time FM user who advised against using it for anything
I have just watched a 90-min video on the differences between the user interfaces of FM8 and FM9; they're considerable, but the advantage is certainly with the FM9 UI. But I can see that a dyed-in-the-wool FM user might object to the change—essentially the first change in the interface that FM has ever had. A Word user might compare it with the introduction of the Office ribbon, but it seems to be more neatly accomplished. However, Adobe still seems not to want to expose FM to public view, for you still have to go to 'All products' to find it. I should have thought that charging $1000 was enough to have deterred the hoi polloi.
