Is something wrong? When I click on the topic in the list of messages opening screen it takes me to Terry's post but the tree pane is blank and nothing seems to want to take me to any of the 16(?) replies that the opening screen reports

If I switch to Linear Mode I see all the messages but even switching back to threaded mode does not bring out the tree ....

Ah I wonder what happened -- I must have been using Hybrid mode since selecting that gave me the tree in the pane above the message I was reading as before.

But then I don't understand the threaded mode as it actually is since I don't see any threading ....

Something does seem to be wrong. The only view with no thread tree is the Linear. Both of the others [should] show the tree, but the message arrangement is different.

Do you have this problem with every browser?

I also find the Quicvk Reply window opening every time with:

Please click one of the Quick Reply icons in the posts above to activate Quick Reply.

which disappears when I do click Quick Reply but comes back after I post the reply.

And when I click on Quick Reply (as I did here), the cursor flies into the Quick Reply edit window, and away I go.

I haven’t heard of these or other problems with vB and MSIE 7 or 8, but maybe others have. I will try to check this out, but it may just be you! <g>

I'm still not seeing anything in the upper pane when I'm in threaded mode -- should I ? Or have I misremembered and have been in hybrid mode all the time? Something definitely switched me from what I had before.

On the Quick Reply pane I don't remember previously seeing it with a line of text telling me to click on the Quuick Reply button .... As you say when you do it clears the text and positions the cursor but I'm sure I never had text to clear previously.

You should see the thread display in the upper window in both Threaded and Hybrid.

This is very confusing. In Hybrid and Linear (looking at Firefox now), you click on the Quick Reply button in the message window, and that activates the QR window. In Threaded, the QR window is active all the time. Why, I cannot say.

OK I see the tree in the upper pane in both modes now and the QR Windows is as you say active in Threaded.

Just one of those things I guess. Thanks for fixing it <s>
