Mr. E doesn't mind shopping, but he doesn't like to make lists. And if I make a list, he claims it's unreadable. (My handwriting's bad, but not THAT bad.)

He asks me what we need at the store, then repeats the items to himself in attempt to commit them to memory. Milk, bread, bananas ... milk, bread, bananas ... milk, bread, bananas ...

Personally, I can't see cluttering up the attic (my brain) with mental ephemera. I make dozens of lists, and save my brain cells for more important information.

He doesn't have too much trouble with the decision-making process, though -- he buys whatever's cheapest, despite my pleadings. Sometimes I'm able to modify that behavior -- I brought home Honeycrisp apples one day, and he quit looking for cheaper varieties.
