At first glance, I'd say the engine is in the same league as Google. There are some handy features on the left side bar, and having a nice wallpaper doesn't hurt.

I have may reasons to dislike Microsoft, but one thing I've noticed is we can never count them out. They have a history of releasing inferior products, improving them over time, and then slipping into the lead with good marketing and cut-throat business practices.

I think Bing is a real threat to Google.
