Default I've got my shiny (reds!) new Lumix

Yes, I jumped, and early last week I picked up my new Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 camera. With both lenses, and a red body! (the photo shop ordered a two-lens kit (available only with a black body) and a single-lens kit (with a red body - available in red, blue and black) and just swapped the body for me - and they even gave me a better price than I could get on the internet (I told them what I could get it for ).

So far, I'm very happy with it - with both lenses it's lighter and much more compact than my (analog) Canon EOS 5.

One first result posted here: springtime.

Congratulations. A red camera sounds wonderful.

Love the springtime shot, especially the bit of blue sky at top left and the wisps of yellow in what otherwise almost looks like a greyscale image.

And happy spring. Here it is cold and windy, but a step up from cold and rainy of the past few days. Daffodils and crocuses are all I see so far.

Here is a photo of the red camera, with a price list for the curious.
