Thanks for posting that. It certainly looks impressive.

Have you had a chance to try it out? If so, what are your impressions of it?

I have, and it is very nice. A feature which I found especially good is the new Autotrace tool. There are some super examples at www.drawplus.com

I was particularly impressed with the AutoTrace example in the demo video.

I was also intrigued by the ability to open/import and edit PDFs and Illustrator files.
I usually use various waltzes, mazurkas and general stomping around in Corel Draw 12 for this, but may need to be able to do some of this on a Vista box

Draw 12's patches won't install under Vista and they apparently have no intention of fixing the problem. I can't see paying the full upgrade freight just to get things working under Vista, so might give Serif's new baby a try.

Well, give it a go... Serif still do a 30 day money back if not satisfied.

Does it have support for OpenType fonts? The freebie version I have doesn't (I had to find some TrueType versions of the fonts I wanted to use).

Tip: download and register a Serif app fromwww.freeserifsoftware.com, you qualify for the upgrade price. Those are generally cut diwn versions but the version of DrawPlus on there is just a very old one and I don't recommend it.
