I keep both Safari and Firefox default font sizes (16). At that size I get a horizontal scroll bar at your test page.

I decided to change it to 14, and then to 12, but I still got the scroll bar.

As a rule, I refuse to scroll horizontally. If the content is compelling, I sigh and do it. Or I open the window to accommodate the page. But that accommodation comes at a price! <g>

Even if I reduce the type size to what appears to my eyes to be 9 point, and then if I widen the window to 2/3 of my screen, I still need to scroll.

Not sure what you want to know, but if you are looking for the annoyance factor, I would say your site is something like 85% annoying.
