Default Aaarrrgh!

Don't you just hate when it happens!?
My main PC failed the other day, I transplanted the vital bits (harddrive and graphics card) to a spare and carried on working.
Apart from not having quite enough memory due to the fact that the spare not having the same type as the main I could at least get stuff done.
Last night the spare died as well and I have a sneaky suspicion that it has something to do with the graphics card (an nVidia one) as both units boots up, but there is nothing to show for it.
Tried with another graphics card as well without success so it doesn't look promising at the moment.
Down to some proper surgery tomorrow. All I have got at the moment is two oversized paper weights, three if I count that old server I've been meaning to see to some day, but that's a different story.
