Default Are Risographs driver-less?

I'm planning to buy a used Risograph and have been offered one with a computer interface.
This might be a strange thing to say but I haven't seen any software for Risographs - strange because maybe they don't need any software.
I always thought that printers had to have drivers but maybe Risographs are different.
