Hey, it was a Sunday afternoon and I had the snoozies, but couldn't stop for a nap, so ya gets what ya gets. In that foggy mental state I was kind of lucky I managed to string three words together and was counting on you to know what I meant!

If you were using Epson-supplied software, I'd bet it was some flavor of SilverFast.

I've just read through VueScan's online user manual and it looks to me a lot more capable and flexible than my version of SilverFast. Are you getting better scans now? Did you go for the standard or pro edition?
