I've had people tell me they used the quotes for emphasis.

I was tempted to tell them HE SAID that I use "HE SAID" for emphasis HE SAID.

Does adding even """"more""""" quotes make it more emphatic, I wonder?

And is the urge to apostrophize plural's akin to a cat or dog marking it's territory? Spurious spoor?
