Default Quark tips

Here are a couple of tips for people new to Quark.

1) As long as you have Zapf Dingbats font active this is a good one. If you are in another font beside Zapf Dingbats and you want one of the dingbats. Press option+command+z, then press lowercase "l" and you will get the zapf dingbat blob for one stroke and the font will revert back to the original font and you can carry on typing.

2) You want to copy an item from one page to another and position it in exactly the same co-ords as the previous page. Select item tool and copy the item command+c. Double click the page you want in the page layout palette (to ensure that you are on that page). Holding down Shift+option+command press v to paste – and the item will be pasted into the same co-ords as the previous page (This is quite good when you are adding sealers to pages).

3) Now for the old favourite. Activate a box on the page that you want to delete and selecting the item tool press Shift+option+command and then press delete. An oldie but a goodie!

I haven't used XPress since ID came out, but I really miss that one!

With the new, bland splash screens in CS3, I don't think there's a single Easter egg left in any Adobe application.
