Default Font Determination in Acrobat's Paper Capture

Acrobat 6's Paper Capture function does a nice job capturing a clean 300 dpi scanned PDF that uses Times New Roman 10 or 12 point type.

Except that it tends to substitute some other typeface (Courier, I believe) when OCR'ing numbers. Is there a way to overcome this so the numbers will remain in the font Paper Capture uses for letters?
