They do list the LG as a "recommended" model.

What I like -- love, actually -- about the widescreen monitors is that I can look at a two-page spread in InDesign or Quark and still have space for my floating palettes. It didn't take me any time at all to get used to using a widescreen LCD. I should have done it long ago.

Thanks for the info. If I take the wide screen LCD, and give my wife my current LCG monitor, will she be unhappy? Her current monitor is 12" wide, while mine is 15" wide, but what happens when she sees 19" or 22" wide?
