Don't let yourself be fooled by the likes of Steve It certainly won't cost any bandwidth if you stay logged in (and I always do!): the forum is not broadcasting to the world who is logged in, and that would be the only way for it to spend bandwidth on that. On the other hand, it may take up a tiny bit of hard disk space (but not memory), since when you are logged in, there is an active session for you on the server and that must be recorded somewhwere. As long as the forum isn't about to run out of HD space, that's a negligeable cost.

Once they do, they can start charging us double, of course.
