Basically all I see is "You need to upgrade your Flash Player" - which is incomparably stupid for a Dutch website - no real content.

The Hema is a large department store in the Netherlands, BTW. Their photo service is excellent.

How wonderful. Now that really is the way to use Flash on a website.

Odd that there seem to be no links to anything else - maybe the text says something to explain.

Without the required latest Flash version there is no text at all - except a few links in a crippled menu that deliberately do nothing and don't go anywhere. What's to explain and where is the explanation?

This really is a prime example of how NOT to use Flash on a web site.

Well there's a crippled menu with Flash -- but then, with Flash, the reasons are understandable.

I'd probably go so far as to say it's worth installing Flash just to see that website. After all, you can always disable it afterwards.

If there are "understandable" reasons they should be able to explain those without Flash to give me at least a reason to install it. Even then, I wouldn't, but I might at least understand.

If it were something I'd actually need (and I do mean need) I might go to the trouble of installing Flash and then, as you say, disabling it (you can't actually uninstall it). But I don't, and even if I did it is a lot of trouble.
