I haven't seen a National Geographic magazine in eons but my sister did give me what I thought would be a wonderful NG book--"Through the Lens: National Geogrphic's Greatest Photographs"--for christmas...

While the photos were indeed gorgeous, it's the most half-assed book I've ever seen...the photocaptions are NOT on the page with the photos which makes if very difficult to know what you are seeing...the book is very large and heavy so having to flip pages back and forth to figure out what you are looking at is a real pain...
