If I could have, I would have stayed with W2K but there are a number of programs that are written for WinXP--in the sense that they are not written to work in W2K--and the fact that support for W2K is going (or gone) made moving to XP more practical and while on the whole, XP is ok, there are small annoying things about how it works that make me unhappy but not that unhappy...

My opinion on Vista is based on articles in Maximum PC which, while a gaming magazine, I read from cover to cover and have found that my experience is their experience...
