...and my wishes here:

... for all those I could not send a real, paper version.

And a happy new year to you, too, Marjolein.

Nice card!

All I get is a thumbnail which does not do anything. What am I doing wrong?

No idea. When I click on her image I get a large one on a separate page. Have you tried in more than one browser?

Did you click on the image? I just did the same thing (same BBcode tags) in another vBulletin-based forum (but running a different version) and it works in Safari/Mac just fine, just like it does in FF/Win. What browser/version/platform are you using?

And a Happy New Year to you, too.

Love the photo. What's the story?

September 2006 in Beijing, one week all on my own after the trip to North Korea. I discovered many (maybe all by now) neighborhoods had these open-air public "fitness centers" - which looked quite new. Given that many people already do some sort of Tai Chi, gymnastics, dancing, or other activities in parks or little bits of green, it seems they take to these as well.

This scene was just typical, but I loved how the colors of the walls and the machines matched, and the casual little group. The woman at the right is holding her little chic beaded handbag while peddling at this size you can't see the beads, alas, but they are in the full size. I was just roaming around when I stumbled on this little scene - it looked cozy.

That can't be right - the file definitely is there. Try using a real browser like Firefox.

A lovely photo - and even better for the story behind it. Now gracing my kitchen pinboard!
