Missing fonts and font parts could happen easily enough, I guess. Not on my watch, but I am a type nut even if not a techie.
No, the outlines can't go in the suitcases. When using ATM deluxe (or possibly any font manager) though, the outlines could be anywhere, as long as ONE activated suitcase was in the same folder.

Suitcase does not affect the Fonts folder directly. (When did that folder come into existence? 7.1?) It activates fonts which can be stored anywhere (on the startup volume? Memory is hazy.)

I *MAY* still be able to find a Quark 3 manual at work, but it's a slim chance.
