Was 10.2 Panther, not Jaguar? I was thinking 10.3 was Panther, 10.4 Tiger and 10.5 Leopard. Probably wrong since what, then was 10.0 and 10.1?

I want Stunned Siamese after Leopard. LOL

>> But again, if you're listing system fonts, it belongs on the list, at least for older versions of Windows.

Yes, I wasn't clear there. I was questioning Marlett then going on to say "But MS Sans Serif ..." blah blah blah and intending to finish with "so it should be on the list". Must've gotten distracted. Happens all too easily. A leaf fell or something. <g>

And what about Linux?
Open source fonts in abundance on my SUSE distribution (most of them are not really what I would use...) but I have no idea which of them would be regarded as system fonts.

Good question. That's why I mentioned *nix, hoping we'd get some chime-in on it.

You’re right. I got lost amid all the wild cats.

It seems that more and more people are using Linux, both companies and individuals, so this might become an issue for web developers as well.

I'll have a rummage over the weekend to see what I can find out, but different distributions might have different selections of fonts.

Sadly, Steve doesn't work for Apple, or the corporate world would be a better place. '-}

Thanks, Bo. If somebody sees Judy around, send her this way. She's a Linux user.
