Since you mentioned Distiller and Word, I assumed they are on the same computer, and both used by someone. PDFMaker has been supplied with Acrobat for quite some time.

I've never experienced any delay in Word's font lists, nor heard of any; on the contrary, Word seems to react quickly to font changes.

Distiller makes up its own font list, and in fact puzzles me when I get the message, 'Distiller has had to close', when I merely have looked at the activated fonts in ATM Deluxe, without of course opening Distiller.
