Default Phineas on fonts in Windows

Phineas is back from his hlidays, trips abroad, etc. and has published his first pronouncement this autumn: 'Windows Font Management has sucked'*. I thought the title indicated that he thought Windows font management defective, and I was right. The article is a 'must read' for Windows users.

I may add that my first message wouldn't have needed a link to Thomas Finney's latest article on font management if I had spelled his surname right; it's difficult though not to escape one of Trollope's heroes when Phinney calls his web log 'the Phinney-us blog'.

Thanks. I didn't think to go back to the original post, and was somewhat confused by the 'Phineas'.

Yes, I know: I was quite unaware of typing 'Finney' until you mentioned it though. Obviously the fictional Phineas Finn casts a long shadow.
