David - Irfanview can do lots of batch actions - and is free.

PSP10 coexists with V7 on my desktop. I keep both as V7 has a couple of speedy features I use without firing up the heavyweight (and I still remember the V7 keyboard shortcuts better. How many times have I inverted the colours of an image rather than resizing it as I intended - many is the answer.)
