Default Here's the display deal

The reply windows became narrow after I changed the default Message Area Width from 540px to 95%. I have just restored the default, and now that I have cleared Firefox’s cache, I am seeing a window of normal width.

That means, on my 850px-wide screen at this moment, the Quote Reply’s inner (typing) panel is about 575px. The panel is now fixed-width, so if you narrow the browser window, you may get scrollbars in the reply window.

The Quick Reply window is also wider than it was, but not as wide as the Quote window.

Let’s see who it affects, and how. Let me know.

But first, please delete your browser cache. Then say what browser you are using and whether the reply window seems normal. The Quote Reply does for me.

That's better too!

I was confused too when I referred to my pixel widths since I was mentally pointing at height instead of width .... They say it gets better.

I haven't done anything, but you have. The quick reply window and the advanced window are back to what they were before. Thank you!

Everything appears normal again, and I haven't yet cleared the browser cache. Whatever you did worked! Thanks!

Hmph. Lucky you! Guess I do need to clear my cache. But I'm not worried about it ... I'm sure that will do the trick.
