KT: Or I could get the Pro, as stripped as I could manage, and then build it up in dribs and drabs over time. Ugh. What a set of options!
That's what I'm looking at. It's still more for the same configuration, though not hugely more. I really don't think I should be having to choose between a Mac Pro, which I don't really want, and an iMac solely due to the screen. I've been reading Macintouch, and without seeing it, calibrating it, and printing from it, I can't really tell if it's a major issue for me or not. It's clearly a major issue for some, while just as clearly, not for others.

I still would have a matte screen iMac to print from, if I really find the glossy screen is impossible to calibrate and use for my printing. I'm not printing as a professional, but that doesn't mean I care less about getting a good print with minimal fuss.

KT: I have been reading the Macintouch discussion of the new keyboard, which should have made things clearer, but didn’t.
It does appear from what some said, we can use a different keyboard, even a 3rd party one, if we don't like the one we're given. So that may be a non-issue.
