Default Epson 2200

As of this evening, I'm the proud owner of a slightly used Epson 2200. Well, at least I hope I'll be proud. I purchased it on Ebay for $255 plus postage. All the manuals, etc. plus ink included. Person says they barely used it due to changes at work. Claims to be in excellent condition - no complaints. We'll see. All the other 2200's I've watched on Ebay that are barely used have gone from $250 to $325. I have my wide-format, multi-cartridge printer with the option of adding postscript later if I so choose. At least I'll have the option!

Thanks again for all the great advise. Now for color management!

Shelley

So you were seeing about the same speed differential as we did with our PS Rips (Freedom of Press at the time, later ditched in favor of one based on the JAWS rip)

Congrats!!! Price sounds more than reasonable. Make a stop at the Epson site and download the most current drivers...

Do let us know what you think when it arrives.

First thing is to get a hardware calibrator for your monitor. I'd recommend the ColorVision Spyder--I have an older version and I've been happy with it. The Spyder express is reasonable at $79...

Congratulations! Sounds like a great coup.
