Nah!!! Dell has always had lower end systems and probably 90% of their hardware is in some ways proprietary--as in don't go to the video card maker's site to get new drivers--so it's just another sales outlet for Dell. Personally, I don't shop at Walmart because I don't care for their business practices or their personnel practices...

I've always had my desktop systems custom built because I get what *I* want and generally have found the custom built price better but! if you are looking at a pc based laptop, I think Dell has a very good line of laptops and I've spec'd out quite a few for friends and family...
