I see a photo which enlarges into an overlay when I click a little icon. Then nothing happens, and the icon won't close it again either. Something's broken there! (Yes, interesting, but not that interesting! Cross-browser JavaScript is still an art... combined with a little black magic.)

What browser are you using?
Oh, by the way; it is a flash video player (using Dojo's DHTML toolkit). That could have something to do with your experience (or lack thereof...).

Yes, very impressive. I just realized that the first part of the demo (the part with those incredible zooms) is not Photosynth. It's Seadragon technology. The second part is Photosynth, which is based in on Seadragon and something else. The spatial relationships he set between photos on Flickr is what I would expect to see in a future-tech fictional movie, and not in real life. Amazing technology.

Then it's badly written as it should have told me it needs Flash installed. The fact that I could not close the overlay either (nothing to do with Flash, the "button" (that didn't look like a button but was clickable and changed state) didn't do anything - that's just bad JavaScript. So that fits.

Using Firefox 2.0.0.4.

I especially liked the part of the demo where they rolled the classic Mercedes with the dead Senator into the lake.

The presentation could have been in one of many formats, but they had to use Flash.
If there isn't a book titled "101 uses for Flash" it must be on its way soon.
