Hi - thought I'd take the opportunity to introduce myself. I'm editor of a quarterly bulletin we put out for our local "welcome club" here in France - in large part because I'm nearly the only person in this group who had any experience with DTP (I took a technical writing class once, long ago) and who had the computer hardware and software to actually produce full color offset covers (as required by the national arm of our association).

It's an interesting challenge to produce a bulletin in what is not my native language... and I also find that some of the publishing and print conventions here in France are "a bit" different from what I learned. (My tech writing program was all in English.)

I've got a couple questions to pose, but I'll put them in the proper sections. I rely on Scribus for my color work, and am using OpenOffice for the interior of the bulletin (because we have it printed and assembled at a local copy shop). But you'll get more of the details as I appeal for help over the next few weeks...

Looking forward to "talking" with all of you!
Cheers,
Bev
