Default Free Meeting Scheduling Tool

I am trying out a free meeting scheduling tool called doodle

As chair of a committee of my civic association, I have trouble scheduling meetings that are convenient for most of the committee members. Doodle lets me pick a set of possible dates (and times, but I pick 19:30), and then I send off a link to the committee members, who record their choices of when they can attend.

So far, only two committee members have answered, but on Independence Day, I can hardly expect a response from 15 people who are probably traveling or celebrating at fireworks displays.

Now I am up to 8 committee members who have responded, and they are spread out over several dates, but a week from Wednesday includes all 8 of them, so that is looking more like a success in scheduling, something I could not achieve by emails, personal contact and telephone calls.

I have invited the Swiss student who wrote this great tool to join our forum, and I commend that idea to all forum members to invite people to join our forum.

I'm getting "Unknown host" when I try that link, even after several retries.

Ah, why didn't I think of that? Brain tired, I guess.... Thanks Terrie.

And now that I can have a look - it' s brilliant, precisely because of its simplicity! Bookmarked.

Default Ads at doodle.ch?

The site was requesting donations, but now the webmaster is suggesting ads. I have written to him about rates, but I am unsure what local businesses can do with ads that appear world-wide. My thought is that a cheap ad would be worthwhile for the URL exposure at a 6/10 Google ranked web site.

Why doesn't he sign up for Google's AdSense? That way ads will be targeted to the visitor (including local to the visitor when possible) in combination with the site's content.
