Default Where to put my photos

I thought I'd let somebody else do the hard work for a change and, rather than put some more photos on my own website, put the on a ready-made photo website.

I'm looking at flickr.com as that's the one I've heard most about. Is it the best? Are there others I should look at?

Smugmug is another one, which - unlike flickr - provides ways to make money with your photos, too.

And I'm preparing an overview of online storage services (not excluding flickr) - some of which might qualify too, depending on what exactly you want to accomplish.

Sit tight, I thought I'd make that overview today, but doing the hardware upgrades cost rather more time than I had anticipated: I'm tired now (still battling my nasty cold). Maybe an intro today and the rest tomorrow...

I've been thinking selling posters on CafePress or Zazzle. But Smugmug looks like an interesting way to go.

Anyway, I hope you get some rest to get over your cold.

Smugmug is quite good. I have some photos there in a communal album. I've been thinking about signing up with it for all of my photos but it's just not high enough on my To-Do list yet. It will be a lot of work to transfer all of my images over there. I've been using Webshots for some years and it's fine for sharing photos to be viewed on the screen, but the quality of Webshots prints and photo merchandise is not good. Smugmug's print quality has been excellent.
