OK. If the thumb drive was formatted for PC (and Mac) then the resource fork may have got stripped from your fonts. You should Stuff the fonts into an archive before transferring them onto the thumb drive.

If you created a new user and are still having problems afer deleting Library folders, then I recommend you re-install your system, as you've probably got rid of something important.

For the PageMaker files: The Unix 'exec' icon is used for generic files that don't have any file/type info. It does not in itself mean the files are corrupt.

Do the files have file type extensions for PageMaker? If not, you will need to add .pmd (or .p65) to the end of the filenames. This should cause the files to be recognised as PageMaker files.
