Default Can Scan Lines Be Removed?

I have a collection of digital Lunar Orbiter photographs of the Moon that were taken by one of the NASA space probes.

The photos have scan lines in them caused by the camera equipment. Is there any way to use Paint Shop Pro to clean up these images?

I know how to use PSP to do some image-editing and enhancement, but these scan lines are beyond my experience.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.
