Default Free letterpress journal

In case you are interested in real type — the kind that pushes real ink directly onto real paper — there is a new journal called Galley Gab available in PDF format. You can download the first four monthly issues at that link.

The April issue how to deboss on a letterpress. Other articles include:

Lead story: “What does the future hold for used letterpress equipment?” in the form of an interview with a couple of printers.

“Casting the type,” part of a series on the printing craft.

Take a look.
