Default [PR] Secure Powerpoint: create value from content

Hi,

For those interested in creating value from content here is a product brief for a new PPT management application.

Digital rights management is now available to protect PowerPoint. The product is called SoftShield™; a combined copy protection and rights management solution. It prevents piracy, including ‘edit’, ‘copy’, ‘print’, ‘print screen’, ‘save as’, file sharing and disables screen capture software etc. From a users' perspective it plays like a normal slideshow.

In addition, the secure PPT format allows creators to control the use of their presentations by others on any PC anywhere, i.e. by number of views and expiry date. End-users’ viewing rights can be extended, upgraded or downgraded remotely, which allows revenue to be generated through content licensing and controlling rights/collecting payments online.

Meets highest security standards for regulatory compliance; confidential corporate data protection; and for consultancies to license their most robust intellectual assets or demo material before contracts are signed. For more information about the technology or partnership opportunities visit www.soft-shield.com.

SoftShield is a registered trademark of SoftShield, LLC. Copyright 2007 - SoftShield, LCC. All Rights Reserved. Microsoft, PowerPoint is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and/or other countries.

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the tastefully done announcement. Suggestion: post it also to the PowerPoint newsgroup on msnews.microsoft.com

I run a fairly extensive FAQ site on PPT and have a page devoted to different methods/products one can use to secure PPT content.

If you'd like to send me more info about your products/services, I'd be happy to consider them for inclusion there as well. email steve at-sign pptools dot com
