Default PDF display & printing issues with Quark..

Hi guys,

We are having a few issues with all PDF's displaying "pixellated" on Quark 6.52 running on 10.4.7 with Acrobat Pro 7.

All PDF's also print like this.... but, of course can be seen fine in Acrobat &/or Preview.

I'm guessing this it to do with the way that Quark handles PDF's but could one of you please advise what we're missing?

Regards,

Ben.

All PDFs or just ones you have been making? That is, if you go to the Adobe site and pick up a documentation or marketing PDF, does that also display and print badly?

That should help us figure out what’s going on.

I think it's the typical case of almost any Quark previews look like crap.
I don't know if the enhanced preview option will help pdfs.

I don't think there's an enhanced preview in Quark (?), that's InDesign.

They look crappy for me too, but when I generate a pdf from Quark everything looks good in Acrobat.

What are you printing to?

Generally evrything that I do in Quark has to go to a postscript file that goes to a RIP.

There is a full res preview xtension for Quark. I don't know if it works with PDFs.
