There's always the envelope with the bent arrow icon to tell you which threads you've posted in. Of course it might indicate an old post in a thread that has moved on a lot since your posting. However, I always check those just in case someone has picked up on something I said.

An alternative is to request email notification for any thread you have an interest in. That, at least, can be turned off once the thread has drifted away from your interests.

Neither is ideal but at least they're better than nothing.
