Default Scrabble Words

Two and three letter Scrabble (tm) word list.

I found that one rather quickly from Google, but I am sure there are other useful Scrabble word lists, too. This page gives a North American word list, followed by a more extensive Commonwealth word list.

My wife and I have just started playing Scrabble, using the official Scrabble dictionary and a travel Scrabble game. We are 2 and 2, and I just won, 269 to 263, hardly an overwhelming victory.

Spinoff - Lipograms. Found this amusing thing by following additional links from yours. (This paragraph is a lipogram, though pitifully short by comparison.)

Back to the original topic ... I love Scrabble and am fairly good at it, though I never played it with anyone but friends or family, and never pursued it sufficiently to buy the Official Scrabble Dictionary or try to memorize any words I couldn't define.

Eighth grade champion here. <gloat gloat>

It helped that I always had the biggest vocabulary of all my classmates and studied languages (which made for better, educated guesses when desperate at the end for two and three letter words).
