Default Open, indexed forum

Yes, we have an open forum and it is well indexed by Google and other search engines.

For those seeking advice, it is good to keep in mind that URLs or other specific references will be picked up by the seach engines, and potentially by our clients, too. I carefully did not mention the URL or the name of that local bookstore that I recently sought advice about, for that very reason.

Of course, including the URL here is also likely to count as a link for popularity purposes with search engines, which may be the desired effect. If a forum member wants advice about a specific URL without publishing it to the search engines, that member can send private emails or messages, which aren't indexed. Perhaps someone has a better way to do that, though.
