Paper Type I is the standard white coated used in web printing - the lab colours that are used in the ISO Specifications include the colour of the paper -

Peter, could you elaborate? Are you saying that if I'm designing something for a web press that I might want to modify my InDesign "Paper" swatch to match those specs, to get a more accurate screen display? (Is that what you do? You seem to know a lot about this Paper Type I ... ;-) )

Thank you Peter.

FWIW, I use InDesign's View > Proof Colors to change the "paper color" to match the CMYK profile. It doesn't actually modify the Paper color in Swatches so it's faster (esp. when you create a keyboard shortcut for the command). You can do the same in any CS2 app I believe.
