Default Add a Google map to your site

There is now a really simple way to add a Google map to your web site. Just to the the Wikimapia blog and follow the instructions.

Default Wikimapia places

This site is apparently based on the same philosophy and done by the same organization as the Wikipedia. This means that places on the maps can be added by anyone.

I added Philadelphia Mennonite High School, which is near my home, to the Philadelphia map a few minutes ago. I didn't add much information about it, but I may go back and add more later. I will check back later to see if anything is changed about my addition. It is a bit peculiar to look down on my neighborhood, and even my own house, from this aerial view.

The high school has disappeared from the map, but there are private homes shown on the map that were not there before. I sent a message to the contact for the site, because I don't quite understand how it operates.
