Default The Netnannies Did It Again : (

In the name of progress, our network was upgraded. As a result, my prefs and setups which lived in c:\docs & settings\xxxx are not accessible to Photoshop 7.0.1 (nor to a lot of other stuff). Is there a way to transfer them over to the new \docs & settings\yyyy or do I have to recreate them as I go??

Or do I have to reinstall Photoshop?????

If you know which files (there should be an application subdirectory under c:\docs & settings\xxxx) you could simply copy them over to the corresponding new directory tree (while the application is closed and after making a copy of whatever the application has already created there). Then start the application and see what you've got.

Remember that a lot of applications also store many settings in the registry, so you may not get all that you expect.

(Do I need to say that those who upgraded your network should also have taken care of migrating apps for you? What a bunch of amateurs...)

Thanks for the help. The netnannies did that as part of the conversion, but Photoshop still goes to the old docs and settings folder to update files. Looks like a reinstall is in order.
