actually, it's the name of the company

I now Quark is the name of the company, but I'd expect 'Quark' to be the name of a creamery in Idaho. I know too that the company's main product is called QuarkXPress, which sounds even more like a dairy product (we have, or had, a very large dairy company called Express Dairies).

Mind you, 'Adobe' isn't much of a name for a company either.
