Default Spell Checker

One frustrating thing about most Internet forum software is many lack spell checkers. But there are alternatives to forum-based spell checkers. For example, Opera works with an add on spell checker. You can read about it here. It senses where your cursor is sitting, and spell checks the window it's sitting in. Actually works pretty well. But if don't use Opera, you might want look into whether your browser supports a spell checker.

Another choice is a universal spell check that runs on your computer. The best I've found is a Windows-based checker called Word Spring. It is very accurate and seems to be able to spell check anything. Also, it doesn't require using the Control or Alt keys. It can work with the Windows key.

For Mac users, I don't know which desktop spell checker to recommend, or whether OS X includes this. Maybe some of the Mac users here can comment on this.
