I would love to see pics of the area where everyone lives - the weekend is here perhaps we all have time to take a few pics to post them on here

What a nice idea!

Do you want all immediately contemporaneous images? Like 48 hours on the DTP Forum?

Iā€™m game.

It's supposed to rain all weekend here ... although an hour ago I could have gotten a photo of a stupid female quail being pelted by hail in the planter on our back deck.

It's snowing here at my house in the Oakland hills as I write this.

A while back I posted one here: It's going to be cold tonight; the bridge I stood on is just round the corner. The picture I'm attaching here was taken about 20 steps closer to home, taken just a week ago (close enough? - saved with EXIF, so you can check ) for my new "Biking in the Netherlands" project.

My Goring website shows you more about this area than you prbably want to know.

Weatherwise, I have a weather page, but generally we get no snow, much less rain than other areas, but we seem to have had a chilly wind for the last year. Windy Worthing they say.

Here are snow photos from January 5, 2006, when we had about a foot of snow here in Philadelphia. The first photo shows my house, the second looking east on Parrish Street, and the third looking west. A few days later it got warm, and much of the snow melted.

http://www.fairmountonline.com/tour.html has a photo tour of the Fairmount neighborhood of Philadelphia, which is just north of the Art Museum steps. This site is maintained by one of my neighbors, but many of the photos are older ones.

http://www.fairmountcivicassociation.org has photos of two landmarks in the neighborhood, the Art Museum and Eastern State Penitentiary. I am the webmaster, and we are about to redo the whole site in Dreamweaver/CSS.

That is probably more than you wanted to see of Fairmount.
